THE INSIDER IS ONE OF THE YEAR'S BEST MOVIES !
it's about a ex-director in a tobacco company (russel crowe)  that gets fired for no plausible reason, a television show producer(al pacino) who tries to convince him to help him in doing a show on tobacco's influence on people ! but mainly, it's about lies, conspiracies and ....hidden truth !
the movie gives a great critisism of cigaettes, drugs, america's  politic system and legal corruption.
while the movie bores a little in the first half-an-hour, it turns to a non-stop thrilling movie that hooks you till the end. the movie is kind-of -hard to appreciate but movie addicts will love it !
RUSSEL CROWE IS PHENOMENAL AND AL PACINO SHOWS,AS USUAL, HIS NATURAL TEMPER.
the movie isn't accompanied by backround music and that gives, along with smart camera angles, a certain depth to the movie.
